Banna Strand wins Grand Annual

After making headlines around the world last year (for jumping into the crowd), Banna Strand was a completely different horse this year, winning the $250,000 Grand Annual Steeplechase wearing the Triabit.

Banna Strand, the only horse in the race wearing the Triabit, sat at the tail of the field for most of the 5,500 metre race, before coming home under the guidance of jockey Gavin Bedggood to nab the win in the last 50 metres of the race.
