El Milagro wins G3 Kranji Sprint

Trainer Shane Baertschiger experienced group-level success for the first time in his own right tonight, with El Milagro scoring an all-the-way win in the Triabit in the Group 3 $200,000 Kranji Sprint tonight in Singapore.

Having his first start for 131 days, El Milagro began well and quickly got across to the fence. Jockey Danny Beasley had the horse under a good hold until he asked him for an effort in the straight, which proved too much for his rivals. El Milagro will now be set for the Lion City Cup under the weight-for-age conditions.
