Medicean Man wins in Dubai with the Triabit

UK trainer Jeremy Gask (who was the first UK trainer to switch to the Triabit) scored an impressive win with Medicean Man at Meydan tonight.

Medicean Man was the only Triabit-wearing runner in the 1,000m sprint and was too powerful for the rest of the field. He caught the leader with a furlong to go and held on for a very impressive win, yielding Gask a winner with his very first runner in the UAE. Jockey Harry Bently has suggested that thr Al Quoz Sprint on World Cup night might be a target now for Medicean Man.

Optimizer wins G3 Col. Bradley Handicap

D. Wayne Lukas today celebrated the win of Optimizer (wearing the Triabit) in the $125,000 G3 Col. E. R. Bradley Handicap, taking the horse's career earning past half a million dollars.

Jockey Jon Court noted that Optimizer "finished with a powerful punch" to win comfortably in the end by 3 1/2 lengths.

Sea Lord wins G2 Australia Stakes

Sea Lord (wearing the Triabit) tonight won the G2 Australia Stakes at Moonee Valley, notching up an impressive with for Darwin trainer Stephen Brown and jockey Luke Currie.

Sea Lord was too strong for the favourite Pinwheel (11/8) and won by over a length. The son of Street Cry might now be aimed at the G1 Newmarket at Flemington in the autumn.

Will Take Charge wins Smarty Jones Stakes

Hall Of Fame trainer D. Wayne Lukas notched up another great Triabit win when Will Take Charge (starting at 12/1) today won the Smarty Jones Stakes in Arkansas.

Beautifully ridden by Jon Court, Will Take Charge was three wide for the early part of the race. He came from off the pace and held out Texas Bling, with the fast-finishing favourite Always In A Tiz. Court described the horse as "cool, calm, and collected".

Today's win earns Will Take Charge 10 points towards qualification for the 2013 Kentucky Debery to be run on May 4th.

Real Surreal wins the $2M Magic Millions

Real Surreal, trained by Kelso Wood and ridden by Michael Cahill, burst to the front of the field and claimed the $2M 2YO Magic Millions today on the Gold Coast to notch up another big Triabit win.

Michael Cahill said after the race that "the further they went, the better she felt." Starting at 4/1, Real Surreal was well supported and justified this support with a fantastic win.

Module wins Listed Bagot Handicap

The Peter Gelagotis trained Module today won the Listed Bagot Handicap at Flemington. Typical of horses settling well in the Triabit, Module finished with a powerful burst to defeat his more fancied rivals.

Beautifully ridden by Craig Newitt, Module was backed from 17/1 into 14/1. The win was Module's 5th win for Peter and Manny Gelagotis, after they picked up the horse from Lloyd Williamd in a dispersal sale in 2010.
